Sarah K. Becker, RN, allegedly used a six-year-old girl’s name and information to submit 200 falsified bills over a 17-month span.
The child’s mother, Marsha Holler, reported her suspicion to the Wisconsin Department of Justice after noticing on her statements that Ms. Becker was billing Medicaid for care that was never provided to her child. Ms. Becker claims she billed extra hours that exceeded Medicaid’s 12-hour daily limit for services for services she provided to other patients.
Although most of the 200 claims Ms. Becker filed listed 12-hour workdays, Ms. Holler says she never worked more than 10.5 hours a day.
Ms. Becker is schedule to appear in court on Aug. 23.
