US healthcare venture funding hits record $9.1B in 2017 — 9 statistics

Healthcare fundraising has been significantly increasing since 2014 and reached a high of $9.1 billion in 2017, according to Silicon Valley Bank’s Trends in Healthcare Investments and Exits 2018. SVB predicts fundraising will drop to the $6 billion to $7 billion range in 2018.
