The institute, which aims to make it easier to commercialize researchers’ inventions, will hire a scientist to lead the institute as well as 19 researchers to work with physicians at Seton and UT Southwestern.
Seton Healthcare Family would pay for most of the effort and already contributes about $20 million a year to UT Southwestern’s operations in Austin.
