Joint Commission Changes Laboratory Accreditation Requirement

The Joint Commission announced a revision to a requirement under the Laboratory Accreditation program as well as a requirement regarding restraints in hospitals.

Standard LD.04.05.09, element of performance 10 of the Laboratory Accreditation program has been changed to require a biennial review of laboratory procedure rather than an annual review.
