Tenet Reports Narrower Losses in 4Q

Tenet Healthcare announced a loss of $33 million for its fourth-quarter of 2008; comparatively, the company lost $75 million for the same quarter of 2007, according to a Tenet news release.

Net income for 2008 was $25 million, compared to a net loss of $89 million in 2007.

Paying hospital admissions and paying outpatient visits grew slightly despite the economic downturn.
