Covidien will continue to offer equivalent sterile products as a replacement for the discontinued non-sterile codes. The company decided to pull the aforementioned products due to recent discoveries of Bacillus cereus in other manufacturers’ products. Covidien itself has never recalled any of its alcohol prep pads.
