The 38-year-old surgeon was charged with two counts of grand theft for allegedly filling duffel bags with medical equipment from a storage room. Surveillance cameras captured him in the act on at least three occasions, a police report said.

In May, a security guard confronted Dr. Hus leaving the storage room with two surgical instruments, police said. Dr. Hus told the guard he needed the equipment for surgery but he did not have any operations scheduled.
