Studies Demonstrate Medline Industries’ Wound Management Solutions

Medline Industries presented several new studies at the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care and Wound Healing Society May 1 to 5 in Denver that demonstrate its wound care solutions.

The studies include the following:

•    Use of Medline’s Therahoney Gel, made from Manuka medical-grade honey was found to be effective in the moist wound management of patients with lower extremity wounds.
•    Medline’s Puracol Plus AG+ collagen scaffold dressings were found to work with negative pressure wound therapy to help wound management.
•    Medline’s Remedy with Phytoplex Nourishing Skin Cream was found to be effective on patients with fragile skin.
•    Medline’s Marathon liquid skin protectant was shown to protect skin around a tracheostomy.
•    Z-Guard Skin Protectant Paste was shown to protect the skin of patients with compromised periwound skin after cleansing the skin with Medline’s Remedy with Phytoplex Hydrating Spray Cleanser with plant-derived nutrients.
