Philadelphia-Area Orthopedic Surgeon E. James Kohl Dead at Age 76

Orthopedic Surgeon E. James Kohl, MD, died at his home near Philadelphia at age 76, from complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, according to report by the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Dr. Kohl earned his MD from Temple University, interned at Philadelphia Naval Hospital and completed his residency at Germantown Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Kohl retired four years ago from his practice in Bryn Mawr, Pa. He was on staff at Bryn Mawr Hospital and was an assistant professor at Thomas Jefferson University Medical College.
