Pennsylvania Surgery Center Business Manager Charged With Embezzling $178,000

Joseph Grostas, business manager of the Surgery Center at Brinton Lake in Glen Mills, Pa., has been charged with embezzling more than $178,000 from the center, according to a report from the Delaware County Daily Times.

According to the report, Mr. Grostas used the stolen funds to pay for personal expenses, such as his mortgage, meals at restaurants and an online personal ad.

The center’s administrative manager contacted police when she discovered unauthorized use of company accounts, including charges on the company credit card and money transfers made by Mr. Grostas.
