Parkland was cited earlier this summer for several infection control and other violations, primarily in the hospital’s emergency department, following an inspection by the Texas Department of State Health Services on behalf of CMS.
The hospital has submitted a corrective action plan, which CMS has accepted, and must fix the violations by Sept. 2 or risk losing Medicare participation status.
