Office Manager of Ohio Pill Mill Gets Almost 11 Years in Prison

The former office manager of a shuttered Columbus, Ohio, pain clinic has received a 10-year, 10-month sentence in federal prison for illegally distributing prescriptions, according to a Columbus Dispatch report.

Charlene Breedlove-Jones of Columbus pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, healthcare fraud and identity theft. Clinic owner Dannette Hawthorne also pleaded guilty to similar charges and faces sentencing in November.

 

The clinic sold oxycodone prescriptions to people from Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.
