NJAASC Welcomes Sen. Joe Vitale Back to Chair of Senate Health and Human Services Committee

The New Jersey Senate Democrats have announced their leadership team for the 2012-13 legislative session, with Sen. Joe Vitale (D-Woodbridge) Vitale to chair the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, according to a PolitickerNJ.com report.

Sen. Vitale replaces Sen. Loretta Weinberg (D-Bergen), who will serve as majority leader.

 

The New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers welcomed Sen. Vitale back to the position he previously held, according to a statement from Jeffrey Shanton, chair, Advocacy & Legislative Affairs Committee, for NJAASC.

 

“Sen. Vitale is one of the most knowledgeable elected officials on the subject of healthcare,” Mr. Shanton says. “We have recently worked closely and successfully with the senator on the one-room licensure bill, and look forward to working with him in the future.”
