Here are five key notes:

1. Some of the patents relate to current Nextremity implants, including the Nextra Hammertoe Correction System and MSP Metatarsal Shortening System.

2. There are also patents within the recently-issued group relating to products in Nextremity’s product pipeline.

3. The company works closely with foot and ankle surgeon partners to develop and innovate in the market. These patents are a result of that relationship.

“All of our work at Nextremity Solutions has been focused on designing unique products that make complex foot and ankle surgical procedures more consistently successful,” said co-founder Stuart D. Katchis, MD. “The issuance of these patents and success we have seen clinically confirm the value of our products to surgeons and patients alike.”
