New York Eye Surgery Center Finishes Expansion

Atwal Eye Care/Buffalo Eye Care Associates and the Buffalo Ambulatory Surgery Center in Cheektowaga, N.Y., completed a $6 million expansion, which increases the space available for eye surgery, according to a report in the Business First of Buffalo.

The expansion included $1 million in new equipment for laser vision correction, cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment and surgery and other laser surgery, according to the report. Additionally, 10 new employees were hired at the surgery center and Atwal Eye.

All surgeries are performed at the Buffalo ASC, which is planning to add two operating rooms, bringing the total number of ORs to five.
