New Technology Makes Fabrics Permanently Germ-Free

A researcher at the University of Georgia has invented an inexpensive technology that makes fabrics permanently germ-free, according to a news release by the University of Georgia.

The technology can be applied during manufacturing or later, and it won’t come out in the wash. Repeated applications are unnecessary to maintain effectiveness.

 

The technology effectively kills a wide spectrum of bacteria, yeasts and molds that cause disease, break down fabrics, create stains and produce odors.
