New Australian Drug Slows Cataract Formation, Growth

A new drug being developed by Calpain Therapeutics in Australia can delay cataracts forming and slow cataract growth, according to an Institute of Photonics and Advanced Sensing report.

The drug could come in the form of drops or a cream to be put in the eyes each night before going to sleep.

 

The drug was one of five finalists in the University of Queensland Business School’s $100,000 Enterprize business plan competition.
