Nebraska Orthopedic Surgeon Gregory Merle Hansen Dead at Age 59

Orthopedic Surgeon Gregory Merle Hansen, MD, recently died at age 59 of a heart attack at his home near Omaha, Neb., according to a report by the Omaha World Herald.

Dr. Hansen graduated from the College of Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1983 and performed his residency at Creighton University College of Medicine and UNMC.

He was on staff at Methodist Hospital in Omaha from 1988-2003, when an eye injury forced him to retire.
