Nearly half of healthcare IT decision makers report feeling very vulnerable to insider threats

Nearly half of U.S. healthcare IT decision makers, 49 percent, feel very vulnerable to inside attacks, according to Vormetric’s 2015 Insider Threat Report.

Nearly all healthcare IT decision makers, 92 percent, reported some level of vulnerability. Here are three statistics on health IT security spending priorities.

•    53 percent: Data breach prevention
•    39 percent: Fulfilling compliance requirements and passing audits
•    38 percent: Financial and asset protection
