Natividad Medical Center Identifies Incomplete Disinfection Documentation

Natividad Medical Center in Salinas, Calif., informed nearly 900 patients who underwent an endoscopy procedure in a certain timeframe that they may have a low risk of infection, according to a report by The Herald.

During a routine safety audit, the hospital found that documentation of endoscope disinfection was inadequate on some days in an 18-month period, according to the report.
