The nose cones are designed for surgical procedures performed in confined spaces such as tonsillectomies or other delicate procedures and prevent stray current leakage between the hand piece and blade junction that, when exposed, can allow current to stray to surrounding tissue causing thermal burns to patients.

The protective nose cones are constructed of pliable, non-conductive material and will be packaged with Megadyne’s disposable modified blades and needles.
