MWT’s One Medical Passport, which is also sold through SourceMedical as SourcePlus Passport, allows patients to complete their preoperative medical history over the Internet. This information is also readily available to the staff at the surgery center.
In addition, new technology has been added that lets surgery centers display their patient rights, acknowledgement of ownership and informed consent policies online and asks for patients to acknowledge their receipt of these disclosures, in compliance with new CMS guidelines, according to the release. Once the receipt is confirmed, patients can then proceed to their medical history.
Documentation is logged and downloadable for review at the surgery center.
