Maryland Ambulatory Surgery Association Members Meet With Congressional Delegation

Members of the Maryland Ambulatory Surgery Association recently visited Washington, D.C., where they met with their congressional delegation to discuss the Ambulatory Surgical Center Quality and Access Act of 2011 and other ASC issues, according to a report from the ASC Association in its ASCA Government Affairs Update.

While in Washington, D.C., MASA members Don Bartnick, Chris Kelly and Kevin Harlan met with members of House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer’s office, as well as visiting the offices of Sen. Benjamin Cardin, Sen. Barbara Mikulski, Rep. Christopher Van Hollen, Rep. John Sarbanes and Rep. Dutch Ruppersberg.

 

Staff members of the delegation said they would review the legislation, with several asking for tours of ASCs, according to the report
