The wipes are to be applied immediately after surgical equipment has been used, and prior to automated or manual disinfection.
“Pre-cleaning of endoscopes and other surgical equipment is not only important, but absolutely necessary,” said Ralph Basile, vice president of marketing and communications, in the release. “These wipes will help insure that surgical instruments are properly reprocessed in compliance with the device manufacturer’s instructions for use.”
