Georgia’s Tift Regional Medical Center Adds Da Vinci Robot for Gallbladder Surgery

Tift Regional Medical Center in Albany, Ga., has added the Da Vinci robot for robotic gallbladder surgery, according to a My Southwest GA report.

The procedures, called robotic cholecystectomies, use a set of specially-designed robotic surgery instruments attached to the da Vinci Si Surgery system. Minimally invasive robotics-assisted surgical procedures can result in less pain and scaring.
