The feature will provide ASCs across the country with industry-wide benchmarking data to help them better understand the performance of their centers.
New data is released every Monday morning and is listed on the company’s website. Each week’s metrics are presented from one of six basic perspectives: analysis by state, by CMS region, by average number of cases per month, by average number of operating rooms, by average number of specialties or some combination of the above.
Examples of ASC metrics presented in recent weeks have included the following topics:
• Average payor volume mix, by state
• Top five procedures by volume and net revenue per specialty, by state
• Top five payors by volume per specialty and CMS Region
• Average anesthesia time for the top procedure per specialty, by number of specialties provided
“The depth of information presented each week is incredibly comprehensive and encompasses ASC data from across virtually the entire nation,” Kathleen Harris, Genascis senior vice president of sales, marketing and product management, said in the release. “The reason this is possible is our massive proprietary data warehouse drawn from roughly 700 facilities and powered by our business intelligence technology platform MEDIBIS. There’s simply no one else out there able to make this level of information available.”
