Former Surgery Center Director Arrested in Wisconsin for Impersonating Nurse

Valerie Whitehead, a former surgery center director at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Eau Claire, Wis., is facing new charges for impersonating a nurse, according to a WQOW TV report.

Ms. Whitehead received probation and community service after admitting in 2012 to stealing morphine, fentanyl and other drugs, according to the report. They were stolen from the Mayo Clinic Health Systems, where she worked as director of the surgery center.

Ms. Whitehead was arrested again this week for allegedly impersonating a Mayo nurse and phoning in a prescription to a pharmacy.
