Former Indiana Surgery Center Employees Settle Suit Against Employer

Thirteen former employees of Wabash Valley Surgery and Eye Center in Terre Haute, Ind., have settled a lawsuit against their former employer and the construction firms involved in building the center, according to a report in The Tribune Star.

The lawsuit alleged that mold from the center’s faulty heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system caused respiratory afflictions for the former employees.

The physician group that owns the center, Associated Physicians & Surgeons Clinic, as well as the construction and architecture firm that built the center, agreed to pay a sum of $1-$1.5 million to the plaintiffs.
