Florida Pediatric Surgical Center Reopens After Renovation

The Shands Children’s Surgical Center in Gainesville, Fla., recently reopened after renovation thanks to a $238,000 grant from the Children’s Miracle Network, according to a report by The Gainesville Sun.

The center has four operating rooms and can perform procedures on up to 20 children and adolescents daily. Procedures ranging from orthopedics to ENT to hernia repair are performed at the center, according to the report.

The clinical staff at the center includes pediatric specialty surgeons, anesthesiologists, physicians and nurses.
