FDA Approves Carl Zeiss Meditec’s Cirrus HD-OCT for Dry AMD and Glaucoma

The FDA approved Carl Zeiss Meditec’s Cirrus HD-OCT software version 6.0 for dry age-related macular degeneration and glaucoma, according to a company news release.

The system includes Advanced Retinal Pigment Epithelium Analysis, which enables physicians to monitor changes associated with dry AMD, and Enhanced Depth Imaging, which allows physicians to better visualize deep tissues.
