The acquisition, the company’s fifth, is part of CareFusion’s strategy to expand globally by investing to build scale, infrastructure and local capabilities in key markets. U.K. Medical has customer relationships and clinical marketing expertise with specialized medical technologies, including products used for interventional radiology and surgical and vascular access in acute care hospitals.
“The acquisition further strengthens CareFusion’s presence in the United Kingdom, where we have built leadership positions in infusion therapy and infection prevention,” said Gordon LaFortune, executive vice president of CareFusion’s international commercial operations.
