This annual campaign, which is observed on July 25 through a moment of silence and candlelight vigil, is in honor of patients and families who have been impacted by a medical error.

Baxa is urging professionals in the healthcare community to take proactive steps every day to improve its patient safety efforts, according to a company news release.

“It started with my father’s vision over three decades ago, and each day our team continues to work towards innovative pharmacy technologies for safe medication handling and delivery,” said Baxa CEO Greg Baldwin, in the release. “Building a global culture of safety and error prevention is part of every decision we make.”
