ASC Leader Michael Guarino to Testify in Congress on Friday

Michael Guarino, a board member of the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association, will testify before the Congressional Ways and Means Health Subcommittee on Friday, Sept. 9, about the dangers posed to ASCs by changes in reimbursement.

Mr. Guarino will speak to the Ways and Means Health Subcommittee on the consolidation of the U.S. healthcare industry. According to Mr. Guarino, he will represent the ASC industry and independent physicians in the second congressional hearing to date for the surgery center industry. He has also been invited to attend the presidential address of Congress on Thursday evening.
