The ASC Advocacy Committee will use the combined resources of the ASC Association and the ASC Coalition, including staffing, funds and expertise, to support a “new and improved approach to advocacy,” according to the message.

Companies involved in the ASC Coalition have committed to at least matching the funds of the ASC Association, which is also planning to increase its funds dedicated towards advocacy.

Six representatives from the ASC Association will sit on the new committee’s 12-person board, and the ASC Association Chair will break any tie votes on policy issues.
