American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Elects New President

Joseph Zuckerman, MD, was elected president of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons at its annual meeting in Las Vegas, according to an AAOS news release.

"I am honored to assume the leadership position of this great organization," Dr. Zuckerman said, according to the report.

Dr. Zuckerman is currently the chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and the Walter A.L. Thompson professor of orthopedic surgery at the NYU School of Medicine.
