Here are six tips to improve bedside manner and ensure that patients have are satisfied:

1. Sit down at their level and talk to them.
2. While sitting, be sure to answer all of a patient’s questions and address their concerns openly and honestly.
3. Always make eye contact when you’re talking to your patients.
4. Do not cross your arms while you’re talking to your patients.
5. Ask them about questions as soon as you arrive to see them.
6. Leave a note with the patient in the recovery room with your contact information, as well as that of the doctor and the hospital staff who assisted with the surgery.
