The following are five new ambulatory surgery centers that have been opened or announced in October.
1., Kan.-based Via Christi Hospital dedicated its new ambulatory surgery center.
2. Atlanta Vision Institute announced it will open two additional locations in the Atlanta metro area in Atlanta's Midtown neighborhood and in Decatur, Ga.
3. Pain Specialists of Austin opened another surgery center, the Ambulatory Surgery Center of Killeen (Texas).
4. Shriners Hospital for Children and UK Healthcare, both in Lexington, Ky., announced plans to build a new ambulatory care center, including an ASC, across from the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital campus.
5. Bradley Hospital, a campus of the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, opened a new ambulatory surgery center in Southington, Conn.
