Here are five things to know
1. 35 cases were reported from Guinea and Sierra Leone, compared to only nine cases reported the previous week.
2. Guinea reported a total of 27 EVD cases, compared to just seven cases the previous week.
3. Freetown in Sierra Leone reported four of the eight cases of EVD coming from the country.
4. A new health worker infection in Sierra Leone was confirmed on May 14.
5. Thirteen contacts are currently being monitored in Italy, “none of whom are considered to have had a high-risk exposure.”
