“Medicare Advantage serves as an essential source of coverage for seniors, including a high proportion of low-income beneficiaries and minority populations,” said a letter sent from CAPG, a large trade association representing physician organizations.
More than 16 million senior citizens are enrolled in Medicare Advantage and in recent years the enrollment has surged due to superior coordinated care offerings. However, CMS is proposing cuts to the program which could undermine the goals of building a high-value delivery system.
The final rates are expected on April 6.
