In April, Hickory, N.C.-based ASC Viewmont Surgery Center picked Medline as its primary vendor.
Northfield, Ill.-based Medline is one of the largest medical-surgical products suppliers in the nation, with over 29 million square feet of warehouse space globally, distributing around 335,000 medical products with 43,000 employees around the world.
It also has 26 manufacturing sites in North America, adding a new $75 million, 800,000-square-foot distribution center in St. Peters, Mo., in 2023.
The company also has several key strategic partnerships, including with Microsoft 365 and Azure AI.
“Our mission is to provide specialized surgical procedures in a high-quality, patient-focused environment that is both comforting and accommodating,” Kathy Kelly, administrator at Viewmont Surgery Center, told Becker’s. “In Medline, we know we have a partner who supports us in our mission, who we see in our facility with us every week, and who checks in regularly about what’s working right, what’s not and where we can improve.”
Viewmont is just one of many ASCs and health systems that have decided to partner with Medline in the last year, including Youngstown (Ohio) Orthopaedic Associates and The Orthopaedic Surgery Center, Hickory, N.C.-based Graystone Eye and Lincoln, Neb.-based Urology, P.C.
