1. Mr. Cassidy is tasked with increasing UPS’ impact in the healthcare supply chain, which is a top priority for the company.

2. With more than 18 years of global logistics and business change experience, Mr. Cassidy succeeds Geoff Light. Mr. Light retired in January, Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.

3. Mr. Cassidy previously worked for GlaxoSmithKline, where he led the company’s end-to-end logistics partnership, oversaw GSK’s international air and ocean freight forwarding transportation for the healthcare supply chain and supervised the transformation of the European Full Truckload/Less Than Truckload road network.

4. Along with possessing supply chain logistics and packaging experience, Mr. Cassidy has experience creating efficiencies within global pharma warehousing and distribution networks.

5. Mr. Cassidy will be based in Atlanta.
