Medline has signed a prime vendor agreement with Lincoln, Neb.-based Doctors Outpatient Surgery Center.
Through the partnership, the multispecialty ASC will have access to Medline’s portfolio of medical-surgical products, including surgical gloves, procedure packs and infection-prevention products, according to an Aug. 12 news release from Medline.
Doctors Outpatient Surgery Center will also gain access to Medline’s distribution capabilities to streamline ordering and delivery of medical supplies.
“Our main reason for moving to Medline is simply cost savings,” Deb Schaaf, materials and purchasing manager for Doctors Outpatient Surgery Center, said in the release. “Since we’ve made this switch, we’ve enjoyed the added benefits of greater product selection and excellent customer service. As an ASC, one of our goals is to provide excellent patient care at a lower cost to our patients; Medline is helping us realize this goal.”
