Medtronic to close New Hampshire facility, affecting 150 workers — 3 details

Medtronic is closing a Portsmouth, N.H., facility that employs 150 workers, the New Hampshire Union Leader reports.

What you should know:

1. Medtronic is restructuring its transformative solutions business to strengthen its financial position, spokesperson Brett Cromwell told the Union Leader.

2. The 150 employees affected will report to Medtronic's enabling technologies business in Louisville, Colo., beginning April 27. Many jobs will be moved from Portsmouth to Louisville.

3. Medtronic isn't making any immediate personnel changes, but "it's too early to know exactly how many positions will be impacted," Mr. Cromwell said in a statement to the Union Leader.
