HCA Healthcare names CEO to lead surgery centers, 6 hospitals bought from Mission Health: 4 details

Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare named Greg Lowe president of its Asheville, N.C.-based division, the Citizen-Times reports.

What you should know:

1. Mr. Lowe will oversee a division comprised of a six-hospital system, surgery centers and other facilities HCA purchased from Asheville-based Mission Healthcare in 2018.

2. Mr. Lowe was previously CEO of two HCA hospitals in Richmond, Va.

3. He replaces Mission President and CEO Ron Paulus, MD, who will transition into a strategic adviser role.

4. In addition, HCA veteran Terence van Arkel was named CFO of HCA's North Carolina division.
