McKesson acquires Medical Specialties Distributors for $800M — 3 notes

Medical supply company McKesson acquired Medical Specialties Distributors for $800 million, according to Zacks.com.

Here are three things to know:

1. MSD is a medical supply and equipment distributor, based in Stoughton, Mass., with a customer base across 10,000 sites nationwide.

2. New York-based New Mountain Capital agreed to sell MSD to McKesson. Under the ownership of New Mountain Capital, MSD’s enterprise value approximately tripled.

3. McKesson recently acquired RxCrossroads from CVS Health for $735 million.
