Here are five quick facts:

1. The da Vinci SP system is designed to enable surgeons to enter the body through a single, small incision.

2. Intuitive plans to seek additional regulatory clearances for the use of da Vinci SP in transoral, transanal and extraperitoneal applications.

3. The da Vinci SP system features three multi-jointed, wristed instruments and a fully wristed 3D HD camera. They are positioned to avoid external instrument collisions in narrow surgical areas.

4. The system offers flexible port placement and 360-degrees of anatomical access through the single SP arm.

5. Intuitive plans to begin U.S. customer shipments of the da Vinci SP surgical system in the third quarter of 2018.
