Startup device manufacturer McGinley Orthopedics named Carl O’Connell its new CEO, KCWY 13 reports.

2. Founded in 2012, McGinley Orthopedics develops, manufactures and markets orthopedic medical devices.

3. The company’s patented IntelliSense Drill Technology earned FDA clearance in 2015.

4. IntelliSense Drill Technology alerts surgeons when they’ve hit bone and determines the appropriate screw size.

5. Physicians have performed more than 600 procedures using the technology worldwide.
