Former Medtronic, Integer executives join Viant — 4 insights

End-to-end solutions provider Viant appointed two new leaders after acquiring Advanced Surgical and Orthopedics and doubling in size, Medical Design and Outsourcing reports.

Viant was formerly known as MedPlast.

Here are four insights:

1. Viant named former Medtronic executive Sean Crowley COO.

2. In his previous position as Medtronic’s Minimally Invasive Therapies Group global operations vice president, Mr. Crowley led supply chain, engineering and manufacturing operations while supporting $7.5 billion of revenue and 29 manufacturing facilities.

3. The company also named former Integer executive Declan Smyth as Advanced Surgical and Orthopedics’ group president.

4. Mr. Smyth was previously Integer’s Advanced Surgical and Orthopedics business president, in charge of integrating four business categories. At Viant, he will drive growth for the Advanced Surgical and Orthopedics business and support integration efforts.
