ASC supply chain tip of the day: Evaluate the viability of reusable items

Beverly Hills, Calif.-based ophthalmologist Sam Goldberger, MD, told EHR and practice management systems provider Eye Care Leaders how ASCs can save money on supply costs.

A key insight from Dr. Goldberger:

Although reusable items may be less expensive they’re not the right choice for every ASC, Dr. Goldberger said. He recommended taking an honest look at whether an ASC’s facility and staff can safely and efficiently maintain reusable items.
