What you should know:

1. In addition to opening the pharmacies, St. Joseph’s Health is integrating PharmaPoint’s workflow management system, XchangePoint, into all its outpatient pharmacies.

2. XchangePoint unites physicians, pharmacies, payers and other clinical system data to help ensure positive clinical outcomes. The software assists in bedside care, medication reconciliation and follow-up care.

3. PharmaPoint CEO Mike Plaia said, “[St. Joesph’s Health is] recognized as one of New Jersey’s — and the New York metropolitan area’s — most respected healthcare providers. The vision to understand and respond to the needs of their communities, leverage the strengths of their system, provide a transformational healing presence and collaborate with others who share their values, is why this system continues to evolve to best meet patient needs.”
